Bangkok - Food,Shopping,Nightlife & Leisure

Bangkok (Krung-Tep) is a very lively metropolitan and the capital of Thailand. I visited this never sleep city in February 2007 with 3 of my good friends. The trip was an exciting and interesting one! Our 6 days 5 nights trip took us to numerous places around the city, tonnes of foods swallowed into our stomach, lots of whisky consumed and lots of nightlife. My favorite venue for nightlife and dancing must be the infamous Route 66 in RCA Avenue. Divided into East room and west room, this sophiscicated club attracts lots of party lovers like me. Very lively, crowded and happening. It's open till 2a.m. Daily life in Bangkok is similar to K.L. Lots of traffic jam, people and pollution! Lots of tourist attractions and great places for dining. ( from the street food to fine dining) You can find any kind of food in Bangkok. The trip brought us to the paradise city of Pattaya. Heaven for sex tourist and foreigner but not my type of coffee. Nothing much to shout about Pattaya. Perhaps an evening watching sunset in Jomtien beach will be a memorable experience. Others than that, it's purely nightlife, unlimited young women & booze! Shopping lovers, don't forget to check out MBK and Platinum. Lots of good bargains here and you will be spoil choices here! It's interesting to be in BKK. However I still prefer the much tamer & cooler Chiang Mai. I'll be back to Chiang Mai in Feb 2008. I expect lots of coffee, party & whisky! sawadee krup & sawadee pee mai.......happy new year and good luck.
